Finished with Christmas

Christmas seems to have had more challenges than usual this year.  Mostly the challenges revolved around working more and enjoying it less.  It seems life and times are trying to stretch this ol girl to the limit.  But not so much that I wasn’t able to squeeze in a little Yuletide tatting.  The result looked like this:

I’m not real sure where the pattern came from.  My copy doesn’t have a webpage cited on it.  It’s someone’s original pattern, I just don’t know whose.  It is a very simple pattern, and one that was easy enough to create.  The ornament covers like this one are elegant and very pretty, especially for an old fashioned tree or setting.  Somewhere along the way, I acquired what appears to be 2 wooden frames hinged together so that they stand when opened to between 90 and 130 degrees.  In the center of each frame is a small hook from which any type of ornament could be hung.  Ornaments covered like this simple glass ball are among the prettiest I have ever put in it.

So here’s to Christmas!  May we enjoy it more than ever!
