This is the pattern revision to Maggie Brown’s Flower.  Overall it begins the same way as the original, but there are some significant changes so please read the pattern carefully.

Created from new Lizbeth size 3 thread #155 Ocean Sunset & silver lined beads

Add 93 beads to your thread (more if you think you might need them).  Alternate your colors this way 7-5-7-5 through the first 72 beads, then string 21 in the color you want for the center.

Wrapping 7 beads on the back of your hand make a ring: 7-2-b-b-b-b-b-b-b-2-7.  Cl ring.  Wrap next 5 beads on the back of your hand.  Make ring: 1 ds; slide beads forward; 1 ds; Cl ring.  Flip ring horizontally so that the smaller ring sits on top of 1st ring.  Make a join at base of 1st ring in the space where the ring closes.  *R: Wrap 7 beads onto back of hand. 7 ds + to 2nd P of previous ring -2-b-b-b-b-b-b-b-2-7; Cl ring.  Wrap next 5 beads onto back of hand.  Make Ring 1 ds; slide beads forward, 1 ds; Cl ring.  Flip ring horizontally so each smaller ring sits on top of the previous larger ring. Join in space of larger ring where close took place.  Repeat from * 3 more times (for a total of 5 pedals.  Wrap 7 beads onto back of hand. 7 ds + to 2nd P of previous ring -2-b-b-b-b-b-b-b + to 2nd P of first large ring, Cl ring,  Wrap next 5 beads onto back of hand.  Make Ring 1 ds; slide beads forward, 1 ds; Cl ring.  Flip ring horizontally so each smaller ring sits on top of the previous larger ring.  Flip ring horizontally so that the smaller ring sits on top of 1st ring.  Make a join at base of 1st ring in the space where the ring closes. ^Wrap 4 beads onto back of hand,  R: 1 ds. slide beads forward, 1 ds. Cl ring, Make a join in the closure of previous ring.  Repeat from ^ 3 more times, then wrap 3 beads onto back of hand,  R: 1 ds. slide beads forward, 1 ds. Cl ring, Make a join in the closure of previous ring. Then wrap 2 beads onto back of hand,  R: 1 ds. slide beads forward, 1 ds. Cl ring. Tie off and cut thread.  Leave thread ends if you are going to be making these flowers into stemmed flowers for corsage or vase.  You may want to stiffen them with Stiffy or starch.
